Emeli Sande has her eyes fixated on scoring a hit in the US but to achieve her goal, she will need help. So, the songbird has followed in the footsteps of Hip-Pop movement and enlisted Kendrick Lamar for a new remix of her UK breakthrough song, “Next to Me”.

The original version of “Next to Me” has thus far failed to penetrate the Billboard Hot 100 – yes, I just used the word ‘penetrate in a sentence. However, the tune climbed to #2 on the Official UK Singles Chart and pushed her Our Version of the Events album to 5x platinum status in the UK as the best-selling album of 2012.
