J. Cole’s “Power Trip” single cover

It’s Valentine’s Day and J. Cole plans to be up all night, singing love songs. At least, that’s the message in his new single, “Power Trip”, which features his good friend and “All I Want is You” collaborator, Miguel. Ladies and daydreaming gays, this one is going to make you smile.

“Power Trip” is the latest offering from J. Cole’s delayed Born Sinner album. However, unlike its darker predecessor, “Miss America”, this track is geared toward radio with the catchy melody, singalong melody and Adam’s apple- thumping bass. Of course, we can’t forget about Miguel’s smooth vocals that provide the perfect contrast to J. Cole’s raspy voice.
