Dick Clark is gone but his legacy lives on through generations of performers influenced by his work. For instance, Bruno Mars has released a new video for his latest single, “When I Was Your Man”, and it channels the retro magic of the iconic television show American Bandstand.
“When I Was Your Man” follows the hugely successful “Locked Out of Heaven”, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks, as the most recent offering from Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox album. Since its debut on December 10th, the LP has sold over 653K copies in the US alone and still rests comfortably in the top ten of the Billboard 200.
