Miguel’s “Adorn” struck a chord with R&B music fans across generations because he effectively mixed the vocal stylings of Marvin Gaye with the musical arrangements of Prince. However, his new video for “Candles in the Sun” channels a different aspect of his idols’ artistry.

Addressing global issues and calling for change, Miguel plays the role of a socially conscious crooner in the dramatic “Candles in the Sun” video. The song is the latest single to be released from Miguel’s critically acclaimed yet slow-selling Kaleidoscope Dream album, which has thus far sold little over 300K copies in the US.
