The international Pop culture scene is awfully dull lately but Trinidad is on fire, and I’m not just talking about the heat of the sun! The latest development involves our biggest Soca star, Machel Montano, who recently dodged jail time for assaulting four people. Yet, was court ruling fair?

Instead of being sentenced to the maximum period of five years in prison, Montano was sentenced to pay $27,200 in fines and compensation to the victims of his assault. Naturally, many people are upset by the ruling and I have my own opinion to add to the mix!
