Ever wondered how Nicki Minaj got her gig as a judge on American Idol? She certainly didn’t score the role as a result of stunning vocal gymnastics or her contributions to the tapestry of Pop music. Rather, Minaj quirks and voluptuous frame, as shown in this behind the scenes look at her new “High School” video, helped to get her through the front door.

“High School” is being overseen by director Benny Boom, and will feature appearances by Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and Birdman.
