Last evening, the stars aligned and cosmos trembled as two of the greatest artists of our time appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Big brother and little sister, Mariah Carey and Prince, both graced the stage of the show and unleashed the sweet nectar of the glorious divas from the heavens.
Carey kicked things off with an interview, during which she confirmed the previously reported May release of her long awaited new album. Although she has yet to select a title for the set, she shared her excitement to unveil her recently recorded material to the world. Then, time stopped.
Host Jimmy Fallon invited Carey to share the spotlight with Prince for their first ever televised performance! Sadly, Carey declined the opportunity as she stressed the importance of getting at least three days vocal rest before singing alongside the only diva on Earth who wears higher heels. It seems that even Carey fears Prince the Great and Powerful.
