Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience album will hit stores on March 19th so it was only a matter of time before some of the included material hit the web. Among the tunes is a new tune called “Don’t Hold the Wall” and guess what? I actually like it!
Similar to all the songs on The 20/20 Experience, “Don’t Hold the Wall” was produced by Timbaland. Featuring heavy beats and a haunting Indian-styled melody, the song is a throwback to the early 2000s era of R&B when Timbaland’s production was fresh and relevant.

Although “Don’t Hold the Wall” doesn’t have the radio-friendly finish to be a major airplay winner, it is certainly a great album track. From the vocals to the production, Timberlake crafted a winner with this track and the best facet is that he didn’t steal the sound from anyone else.
The entire The 20/20 Experience album is now available for streaming on iTunes. US fans can listen to the entire set by clicking here.
