The SXSW weekend festivity drew some very popular singers but it lacked a special diva factor to make the fun complete. So, the Samsung Galaxy promoters called on the don of high heels himself, Prince, to bless the show with the magic of the ancient ageless vampires.
Prince changed his ensembles five times while supported by A Tribe Called Quest at the La Zona Rosa last evening. He thrilled the crowd with renditions of several of his own songs, such as “Something in the Water (Does Not Compute)”, as well as classics by other greats, including Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough” and Janet Jackson’s “What Have You Done For Me Lately”.
Although Prince’s SXSW was allegedly a secret, several big names across the industry kept less privileged music fans up to date via Twitter and even captured some footage of the event. Watch the clips below:
