After months of stalling as a result of numerous failed singles, Ciara finally has a reason to smile as a release date for her One Woman Army has been scheduled. That is if she doesn’t get dropped by Epic Records before the LP arrives in stores at the dawn of the summer season.
One Woman Army will be issued on June 4th. The record is preceded by the buzz single “Sweat (Ft. 2 Chainz)” as well as “Sorry”, “Got Me Good” and the recently released “All for You” “Body Party”. Since none of those tracks charted on the Billboard Hot 100, Ciara has found another way to garner public attention: acting.
Ciara will star in a reoccurring role on BET’s The Game, starting on March 26th at 10pm ET. Unfortunately for her, the popularity of that show has plummeted during the last two years, and with lead character Tia Mowry out of the cast, its future is in serious jeopardy.
Of course, since this is Ciara we’re discussing, fans should expect the One Woman Army release date to change if she doesn’t score a solid radio hit ahead of its debut. Perhaps that’s why the album has been scheduled for the summer – Ciara now has extra three months to achieve that goal.
