Christina Aguilera and Pitbull

Christina Aguilera is just trying to remain relevant. While she silently hopes and prays that her latest single, “Let There be Love”, develops into a hit, the singer has landed a slot on the lineup of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards performers, not as a headline act but as a featured guest in Pitbull’s set.

Pitbull will hit the stage live at the Billboard Music Awards on May 19th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and he was gracious enough to let Aguilera share his spotlight as they perform the song “Feel this Moment”. It remains unclear whether the latter will get the chance to sing one of her own tunes during the show.

Ryan Lewis, Selena Gomez, The Band Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Miguel are also slated to rock the Billboard Music Awards. The full list of nominations for the ceremony was announced last week with Prince heralded as this year’s Icon Award recipient.
