J. Cole released the shocking video for his new single, “Power Trip (Ft. Miguel)”. To keep the momentum going for the record, the rapper paid a visit to BET’s 106 & Park to debut the clip, explain its gloomy concept behind the visual and his upcoming Born Sinner album, due on June 25th.
“It was a year-and-a-half of really working and really figuring this album out and mapping it out,” Cole said of Born Sinner. “I had a ton of songs that didn’t make it, but the ones that did are the ones that were meant to be. You’re gonna hear sonically and soundwise as a producer how I’ve grown. I’m not trying to make my old stuff and I’m not trying to make anything that was made in the past. I’m trying to concoct new creations.”
