Janelle Monae hits a high note on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’.

Janelle Monae has a habit of popping up when we least expect it and that’s exactly what she did last evening. Joining The Roots for a special tribute to the late great Jimi Hendrix, the songbird performed a moving rendition of “Little Wing” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Fans of Monae should know that Hendrix’s music greatly influenced her career, along with the works of Prince, James Brown and Stevie Wonder. However, don’t expect to see her playing the guitar on Jimmy Fallon because she did what she does best – she has beautifully!
