Forget about the previews of Fantasia’s Side Effects of You album because the material has begun to surface in full. The latest new song to hit the web is the highly anticipated “Without Me”, which features Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott, and it’s an Urban banger!
“Without Me” boasts thumping bass and the distorted vocals at the intro that channel the swagger of the southern R&B/Hip-Hop movement. However, Fantasia’s new vocal stylings are the main highlight of the track as she scales back her snarling in favour an airy falsetto for her sassy quips.
Listen to Fantasia’s “Without Me” below:
“Without Me” is exactly the type of song that Fantasia needs to help her take over Urban radio this summer! The production is ideal for airplay and the Rowland feature is exactly what the song needed. Additionally, Elliott’s verse is the icing on an already strong record.
If “Without Me” isn’t Fantasia’s next single then somebody on her team should be fired immediately. “Lose to Win” is a great song but “Without Me” is a contemporary hit and that will help her to sell records. Don’t drop the ball, Fantasia!
Update: “Without Me” has been confirmed as Fantasia’s new single!
