Originality has never been Jennifer Lopez’s strong point but this time, she is going too far. The dancing diva has announced the debut of her new single, “Live it Up”, which will feature yet another cliche collaboration with one of EDM’s champions, Pitbull.

Lopez will release “Live it Up” on May 8th as the lead offering from her new album, which also includes writing credits by Chris Brown and Future. On May 16th, Lopez will perform the song for the first time on American Idol season finale under the watchful eye of her longtime rival Mariah Carey, who also reportedly has plans to unveil her own new single during the show.

In case you have been living under a rock for the last two years, Lopez previously teamed with Pitbull on two of her biggest-selling singles. “On the Floor” from her Love? album peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold north of three million downloads where as 2012′s “Dance Again” reached #17 on the chart and has been certified platinum.
