Justin Timberlake’s ‘The 20/20 Experience’ album cover

Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience is the top-selling already album of the year to date but don’t expect it to lose momentum on the US charts any time soon. In fact, more than month since its March 19th release, the record remains a force on the Billboard 200 and has officially been certified double platinum.

According to Nielsen SoundScan, The 20/20 Experience sold 76K copies in the US this week and reached a new sales peak of 1.60 million copies in that country. Additionally, with shipments exceeding 2 million units, the record has been certified double platinum by the RIAA, therefore making it Timberlake’s third consecutive multiplatinum effort as a solo act. His previous works, Justified and FutureSex/LoveSounds, have reach triple platinum and quadruple platinum status, respectively.

On the Pink-dominate Billboard Hot 100, both of Timberlake’s singles from The 20/20 Experience occupied spots in the top 10 this week. The lead release, “Suit & Tie (Ft. Jay-Z)”, landed at #8 where its followup, “Mirrors”, clocked in just a slot high at #7.
