Alicia Keys’ “Tears Always Win” single cover

What exactly is Alicia Keys’s grand scheme to salvage her Girl on Fire album? Within a matter of weeks, the troubled singer has released two music videos – “New Day” and “Fire We Make (Ft. Maxwell)” – and now she has lined up yet another single from the set called “Tears Always Win”.

It appears that Keys is eager to push Girl on Fire beyond its 669K copies sold total to platinum status by the end of the year. So, she has selected “Tears Always Win”, which was co-crafted by Jeff Bhasker and Bruno Mars, as the album’s latest offering. Will the song be a hit? The chances are slim but I sense Keys will try anything to boost her sales at this point.
