Bruno Mars parties like it’s 1979.

Bruno Mars had the honor of kicking off the 2013 Billboard Music Awards this evening. However, instead of rocking out to the EDM-styled music that dominated the last year, the bubbly performer partied as though it was 1979 with the R&B/Disco “Treasure” from his Unorthodox Jukebox album.

To date, Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox album has sold north of 1.31 million copies in the US and its sales are expected to increase when his Moonshine Jungle Tour begins on June 22nd. Until that time, watch Mars boogie and shimmy to “Treasure” on the Billboard Music Awards below:
