The Danity Kane members reunite.

When four members of the shattered girl group Danity Kane were spotted having lunch with a reported new managed earlier this week, the gossip blogs were kicked into overdrive with speculation that they were planning a reunion. However, those guesses have proven near accurate as indicated by D. Woods.

In a statement to Freddy O, Woods confirmed the news that Danity Kane is indeed plotting a return but there is a catch: she won’t be involved. That’s right, the standout member and lead vocalist of the all girl collective refuses to join forces with her former bandmates, even though they are now free of Diddy’s negative influence.

“It has been brought to my attention that my former group members of Danity Kane will be reuniting,” Woods stated in a very calm, cool and collected manner. “While I will not be a part of the reunion; I wish the ladies blessings and much success on their endeavors.”

According to TMZ, the remaining members of Danity Kane – Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and Shannon Bex – have hired new management. They are also reportedly scheduled to record their third studio album as a collective during the coming months and launch a tour. Their former mentor, Diddy, supposedly has no hand in the matter.

Of course, the absence of D. Woods from the Danity Kane reunion has confused several of their loyal fans. The group scored a pair of #1 albums on the Billboard 200 as well as multiple hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100, undoubtedly because of the mass appeal garnered by the clever mix of members. So, could they return without D. Woods?

Only time will tell if Danity Kane have what it takes to relaunch their careers but it will be exciting to see a major girl group on the charts. Little Mix have not taken off in the US and Fifth Harmony of The X Factor (US) have yet to release a viable single. Also, the Danity Kane members are still young and once O’Day’s boobs don’t get in the way, they could be an impressive force once again!
