Now that J. Cole’s Born Sinner album has been moved up to compete with Kanye West’s Yeezus, the former has serious legwork to do if he wants to win the chart battle. So, last evening her made a promotional appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform his current single, “Power Trip”.

Born Sinner will arrive in stores on June 18th and although “Power Trip”, which features Miguel, is a top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, Cole needs much more buzz to compete with West. Luckily, The Roots were on hand to give him a boost on Jimmy Fallon. Watch their showing below:
