Finally, Beyonce is preparing to release a new song that has nothing to do with soda or bathing suits. After voicing one of the characters in the upcoming animated film Epic, which hits theatres on May 24th, the singer has recorded a tune called “Rise Up” for the movie’s soundtrack and we have the first snippet.
“Written” by Beyonce and Sia (Rihanna’s “Diamonds”, Christina Aguilera’s “Bound to You”), “Rise Up” is a far cry from the boastful, arrogant expressions of supposed femininity known as “Bow Down”, “I Been On” and “Grown Woman”. Rather, the meaningful ballad, which was co-produced by Hit-Boy and Chase N. Cashe, actually features a message that is worth sharing with real music fans.
“Rise Up” will be released later this month via Columbia Records. Listen to the snippet of the song below:
Thanks B. Scott!
