By now, you’ve heard the news that Fantasia’s Side Effects of You album has debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. However, she isn’t the only female superstar rocking the US charts this week. Both Pink and Rihanna made major moves on the Billboard Hot 100, thus proving that girl power is the name of the game.
Pink’s “Just Give Me a Reason (Ft. Nate Ruess)” logs a third week atop the Billboard Hot 100. The song surged to 125 million audience impressions at radio (up 10%) with an additional 4.7 million online streams and 253K downloads sold during the last 7 days. Meanwhile, its parent album, The Truth About Love, has sold another 29K copies this week.
Rihanna’s “Stay”, on the other hand, rebounded from #6 to #3 on the Hot 100, thanks to impressive gains at radio. With 134 million audience impressions, the track topped Billboard Radio Songs chart as Rihanna’s eleventh leader on that lineup. That’s right, she has tied Mariah Carey’s record for the most such hits since the Radio Songs tally was established in December 1990.
