Britney Spears’ new song, “Ooh La La”, officially impacted iTunes today and the megastar informed the world by calling On Air with Ryan Seacrest. However, her contribution to The Smurfs 2 soundtrack wasn’t the only topic on the board, she also shed light on her rumoured Las Vegas residency and her new album.

Although Spears has yet to confirm whether she will have a longterm stay in Vegas, she hinted that it is quite possible. She was even more chatty regarding her album, which will be released before the end of the year, and her excitement about working with Madonna’s longtime collaborator William Orbit, who crafted the legendary Ray of Light.

Spears revealed that her new album will surprise her longtime fans as it entails several live instruments, such as guitars, and a sound with which she never previously experimented. Could this mean that Spears will dial back the auto-tune and actually get involved with the making of her music? Well, we’ll find out very soon.
