Every week, we review the top 10 of the Billboard 200 but many of you are left unsatisfied since the upper region of the lineup is usually dominated by acts who are not typically discussed here on The Lava Lizard. So, to help meet your demand for additional information, I have compiled a list of the best-selling artists from our roster who appear on the entire chart!
You already know that Justin Timberlake has the best-performing album of 2013 to date with The 20/20 Experience, which has sold over 1.92 million copies. However, we shouldn’t overlook the R&B artists, such as Miguel and Fantasia, who released their albums to much less fanfare from the media.
Unfortunately, every artists probably won’t benefit from having their record sales exposed. For instance, Alicia Keys’ Girl on Fire has sold 692K copies thus far as the slowest-selling studio album of her career. Additionally, Brandy’s Two Eleven has been a commercial disaster with less than 184K units sold since October 2012, 335 of which were sold this week.
Note: These figures were taken from the Nielsen SoundScan report and rounded up to the neared 1,000 and by yours truly. The entire list was compiled and formatted by yours truly so as Lil Kim would say, pay homage. See the top-selling albums on the Billboard 200 and beyond below:
