Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown

As the summer season continues to heat up, Chris Brown capitalised on the excitement at Power 106 LA’s Powerhouse 2013 concert last evening. During his backtrack-bolstered set, the dancer surprised his fans by bringing out Nicki Minaj to lip-sync her verse of DJ Khaled’s “Take it to the Head”.

Yes, Minaj clearly mimed her verse because when it was time to address the Powerhouse patrons, she appeared frustrated that the good folks backstage had not turned on her microphone. Brown, on the other hand, sang some of his notes live, even during “Fine China”, although he avoided the most difficult parts of his music.
