Dawn Richard’s GoldenHeart album was a major commercial success but it certainly landed her in the good graces of music critics. Now, to build on that momentum, the singer-songwriter is preparing the followup to the record, BlackHeart, for release in the fall season.

BlackHeart will arrive in stores on October 7to kickoff The Black Era of Richard’s career. “As I continue to make and create more magic for you. With that being said, I have good news. Get ready. BlackHeart is coming,” Additionally, the third album of the trilogy series, RedemptionHeart, will be issued to stores in 2014.

There is no word regarding how BlackHeart will affect Richard’s plans for a reunion with Danity Kane or if her bandmates will be involved in the creation of the record. As we wait, watch the video for “86”, which appears on GoldenHeart, below:
