Since Kelly Rowland released her controversial new song, “Dirty Laundry”, the entailed messaged has become the main topic of discussion in all of her interviews. Yet, as the June 18th release date of her Talk a Good Game album draws nearer, a pattern has emerged that makes her testimony seem very suspicious.
Every Rowland interview since the debut of “Dirty Laundry” has entailed the following key points that have prompted many to believe that the tale of her abuse is being used to build anticipation for Talk a Good Game:
1. Rowland was abused by an unnamed man.
2. That anonymous gentleman tried to damage the relationship between Rowland and Beyonce.
3. Beyonce is the best person in the world and Rowland loves her dearly for her generosity.
4. “Girl” and “Bad Habit” were both cries for help from Rowland’s past.
5. Rowland has emerged stronger and wiser from the situation, thus allowing her to freely embrace her sexuality. Basically, she’s a survivor and she’s gonna make it.
All this is fine and dandy but isn’t it too convenient that Rowland’s story has become the driving force behind her newfound media attention in the lead up to Talk a Good Game? Honestly, she never discussed her personal troubles before this point and the timing seems carefully orchestrated as part of her promotional push.
Perhaps Rowland should visit domestic abuse centres and use her star power to help victims of the social issue. You know, so she won’t look as though she’s imitating Rihanna’s Rated R media campaign. While we wait to see Rowland’s next move, watch her on Omg! Insider below:
