Jay-Z announces ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ album.

Kanye West isn’t the only megalomaniac in the Roc Nation family. His mentor and leader, Jay-Z, rules the roost of egotistical rappers, although he demands attention in a much more subtle way. For instance, while crafting what sounds like incredible music in this Samsung Galaxy commercial, Jay-Z announced his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.

That’s right, shortly after the release of West’s Yeezus on June 18th, Jay-Z will issue his own “holy” album on July 7th. However, the first million fans who download the special Magna Carta app on their Samsung Galaxy S II, III or S 4 devices on June 24th will get the chance to unlock the album on July 4th at 12:01am.

Magna Carter will entail contributions from Timbaland, Swizz Beatz and Pharrell. Watch Jay-Z announce the project in his Samsung ad below:
