Michelle Williams’ “If We Had Your Eyes” single cover

Beyonce refuses to give her fans anything more than the occasional snippets and commercial jingles instead of a proper single. However, a consolation prize is being offered by one of the many former Destiny’s Child members, Michelle Williams, who has announced the release date of her new song.

“If We Had your Eyes” will debut on June 24 and has been described as a “new sound” for Williams. Set to apear on her fourth solo album via eOne Music later this year, the song was crafted by Harmony as a departure from EDM music that scored her numerous successes on the US Dance Club Songs chart.

“I want to thank you all for your patience and love,” Williams tweeted to her fans via Twitter. “I am so excited for you guys to hear what I have cooked up with Harmony.” Meanwhile, Beyonce’s other favourite backup singer, Kelly Rowland, will release her own Talk a Good Game album on June 18th.
