Did you know that Frank Sinatra placed more albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 than any other solo artist?
Throughout his career, Sinatra scored an incredible 33 top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, therefore ranking him second to only The Rolling Stones, who landed 37 titles in the upper region of the chart. In fact, Sinatra’s closet competitors in the history books among male artists are Elvis Presley (27), Bob Dylan (20), George Strait’s (18) and Paul McCartney (18). Barbra Streisand, on the other hand, still leads all female acts with 32 top 10 entries.
Astonishingly, Sinatra’s Duets ranked among his most successful albums, despite being released in 1993 – over 47 years after his The Voice of Frank Sinatra debut. The record peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and has thus far been certified 3x platinum. Sintra died less than 5 years later in 1998.
