Pray for Foxy Brown

The universe just hasn’t been kind to Foxy Brown. In fact, I’m beginning to wonder if she has been cursed by some strange form of voodoo or obeah – her family is Trinidadian, after all. Adding to her long list of personal and professional misfortunes was an embarrassing situation during NYC Pride 2013 when she fell onstage.

Brown was busy debuting her new single, “Bandz Up”, at the El Morocco in New York City last evening when she slipped and fell onstage. The packed crowd at the venue collectively gasped when the noticeably thicker rapper hit the floor and was then rushed off the set to recover.

In addition to suffering from hearing loss and enduring numerous legal troubles, Brown has struggled to get her music career back on track and her Black Roses comeback album has been delayed indefinitely. Is it a wrap for her or is there a light at the end of this long tunnel? I’ll light a candle in her honor as I pray.
