Did you know that Chris Brown recorded a demo of “Somebody Else” long before Mario released the song as his new comeback single? Well, the singer had the track in the vault for months and he finally let the world hear his take, which is surprisingly auto-tune free.

Mario’s version of the Polow Da Don-produced “Somebody Else” features a verse by Nicki Minaj but Brown refused to share the spotlight on the track with a guest rapper. Instead, he spit his own verse and showed off his versatility as an artist. Don’t worry, Brown kept his imitation Wiz Khalifa cackles to a minimum.
