J. Cole and Nas

When J. Cole appeared on The Breakfast Club earlier this week, he explained the meaning behind his highly publicised new song, “Let Nas Down”, which he wrote about disappointing his idol. Now, Nas has officially responded by issuing a remix to the Born Sinner standout track.

Cole stated that the mainstream sound of his breakthrough commercial hit, “Work Out”, upset Nas, who had considered the former to be standout rapper of the younger generation. However, according to Nas, we was never really disappointed and is very proud of Cole for helping to take the Hip-Hop genre forward.
