The far from ordinary John Legend

Despite featuring Rick Ross, “Who Do We Think We Are” performed dismally on the charts and failed to garner John Legend the buzz he needs for his upcoming Love in the Future album. So, the crooner has released a new song, “Made to Love”, that boasts a completely different sound.

Co-Written by Dave Tozer, who produced Love in the Future with Kanye West, “Made to Love” is drum-driven and reminiscent of the material included on Yeezy’s own My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album. However, it’s Legend’s voice that ties the arrangement together on what may be his best record in years.

Love in the Future will arrive in stores on September 3, thus giving Legend more than enough time to secure the hit that he needs. Listen to “Made to Love” below:
