Regardless of what the false information posted on her Wikipedia page states, Alicia Keys’ Girl on Fire is by far her slowest-selling album to date and she knows it. So, the hard working diva has released a new video for the record’s latest single, “Tears Always Win”, with the hopes of boosting her sales.
Since arriving in stores on November 27th 2012, Girl on Fire has sold ove 696K copies in the US without producing a single top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. In fact, the highest-charting tune from the set was the title track, which stalled at #11, despite massive promotion by Keys in live performances and in Citibank ad campaigns.
“Tears Always Win” officially impacted Top 40/Mainstream radio on June 1st. The glamorous accompanying video, which depicts Keys as a Las Vegas showgirl in love, was directed by Robert Hales. Watch the clip below:
