Pink is on a roll as the leading female entertainer of her generation and one of the most successful artists of the last year. This morning, the singer-songwriter released the video for her new single, “True Love”, a day ahead of schedule, just in time for the song’s official US radio debut.
The Truth About Love, which is Pink’s sixth studio album, has already sold over 1.61 million copies in the US. The platinum-certified set as generated three top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Just Give Me a Reason (Ft. Nate Ruess)”, which peaked at #1 and is ranked as the most successful of Pink’s career to date, both in the US and on the global charts.
“True Love” features Lil Allen and the supporting video will debut on VEVO on July 1. However, if you can’t wait that long, watch it now below:
What makes Pink great is that she doesn’t follow trends, her music is organic and she is relatable. She never claims to be the best or the greatest yet her talent easily positions her ahead of the pack of other artists who desperately boast about being the second coming of someone else.
“True Love” is a perfect song for Top 40/Mainstream radio and although Pink is currently on tour, she won’t need to promote it heavily to score it. “Just Give Me a Reason” became a runway success without much effort by Pink and judging by her track record, “True Love” will follow suit.
