Ciara prays to find the right key.

This is why some people should just stick to what they know best. After showing off her dance moves during a solid performance of “Body Party” with B.o.B. on 106 & Park earlier this evening, Ciara returned to the stage to sing “DUI” from her new album and sounded terrible.

Ciara spent almost three minutes struggling to find the right key as she stumbled through “DUI”. You may assume that person with a two octave vocal range – on a warm day outside of allergy season – wouldn’t have any issues performing such a simple song but no, Ciara was utterly lost in the world without a prayer.

If you want to hear the studio recording of “DUI” then purchase your copy of Ciara on July 9. Don’t worry, there is enough pitch correction to make the song more tolerable. Watch Ciara sing under the influence – I can only guess that was the root of her pitch problems – on 106 & Park below:
