The bad news just keeps rolling in for idol worshippers of Beyonce who have been scouring the web for any trace of new music. While chatting with The Sun, hit-maker Diplo of Major Lazer revealed some shocking information that will surely leave fans of the diva disheartened: she may have scrapped her album.
Diplo was excited to discuss the new material that he is currently crafting for Katy Perry and Chris Brown but when asked about his work with Beyonce, his tone suddenly changed. “I just did two songs for her new album, well, I tried,” he explained. “I think she scrapped the record.”
“The [album] was supposed to be done and they have been hitting me up for brand new ideas,” Diplo continued. “I like to work from scratch, [but] sometimes I get called in to fix records.” In other words, Ne-Yo’s previous claims that Beyonce is still trying to figure out the direction of her new music were indeed accurate, and Diplo has been called in to help remedy the situation.
Thus far, the only new snippets songs by Beyonce were “Grown Woman”, “Bow Down”, “I Been On” and “Standing on the Sun”. However, if Diplo and Ne-Yo’s comments are true, most of those tracks may be axed from the final lineup of the album, which may not be released until the end of the year (if at all).
Meanwhile, Beyonce’s continues to journey across the US with the mostly sold out The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and avoids any discussion of her music. Her only recent statement to her fans was the following:
Yes, Beyonce just used the word ‘genius’ so this is where I take my leave. Good day, everyone.
