This is one interview that even I didn’t see coming. Earlier today, Jay-Z appeared on the ever controversial The Breakfast Club for the first time to promote his recently released album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, and caught many of the listeners by surprise. However, his new music wasn’t the only topic on the agenda.
While chatting with the rather bold hosts, Jay-Z shared his views on Kanye West’s Yeezus, operating as in rapper in the corporate world, working with Lil Wayne in his early career, feuding with Nas and dealing with the constantly shifting Digital Age of music. Jay-Z also compared Magna Carta to all of his previous albums and gave it a surprisingly high ranking.
The already platinum Magna Carta is expected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 with sales exceeding 450K but with this added promotion, sales may actually increase. Watch Jay-Z on The Breakfast Club below:
