Lady Gaga returns!

Get ready little monsters because Lady Gaga is gearing up for a major comeback! Just moments ago, it was announced that the megastar will deliver the first live performance of her untitled new single at the 2013 MTV VMA, which will be held at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn later this summer.

As previously reported, Gaga’s new song will be be issued to iTunes on August 19 whereas her ARTPOP album will be released on November 11. This era follows the Born this Way project, which failed to match Gaga’s The Fame debut – her album sales were halved from 4.5 million copies sold in the US to 2.3 million – yet still generated 4 top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including the #1 hit “Born this Way”.

The list of nominees for the MTV VMA is lead by Justin Timberlake as well as Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who have 6 nods each. The show will air at 9pm ET on August 25 via MTV. Watch one of Gaga’s most memorable performances of “Paparazzi” at the event below:
