Mariah Carey’s new album, The Art of Letting Go, has been delayed indefinitely and her recent injuries have crippled her efforts to get the project back off the ground. So, how will she keep people interested in her music? With yet another unsolicited remix of her hit song “#Beautiful”.

To commemorate the original release date of The Art of Letting Go, Carey uploaded a special voicemail to her fans on SoundCloud and expressed her regret for not having the record ready on time. Clearly in pain from the nerve damage in her arm, fractured ribs and chipped shoulder that she incurred while filming a video for the “#Beautiful” remix with Young Jeezy, the diva chatted about her plans for the coming months.

Among the new songs Carey has readied is the sixth official remix of “#Beautiful”, which is geared toward the clubs with soaring Dance production and fresh vocals. The track will be issued instead of the second The Art of Letting Go single as Carey struggles to recover from her injuries as explained by her therapist.

Carey also revealed that she has been putting the finishing touches on The Art of Letting Go. However, with no due date in sight – she promised to announce it “very soon” – I sense that the album is still far from finished. Listen to her special voicemail below:
