Mario is almost relevant again!

Mario is one of the few male R&B artists in the industry today who can actually sing, and that’s because he studies his craft. During his visit to BET’s 106 & Park last evening, the crooner spoke about his love of his music and how he has applied that focus to his upcoming album.

“Expect to party with me, expect to cry with me, expect to laugh with me,” explained Mario to the 106 & Park viewers after revealing that he has decided to change the title of his new record, which was previously called Restoration. “It wasn’t what I wanted for the direction of my record, so I started over and recorded a whole new album.”

The record is preceded by the lead single, “Somebody Else”, featuring Nicki Minaj, of whom Mario is a big fan.  “I respect Nicki Minaj and what she has done in her career. The music industry is about knowing where you wanna go, knowing who you wanna be and she has shown that. To have her a part of my project is a blessing.”
