While everyone got caught up in the rapture of Ariana Grande’s new single, “Baby I”, a preview of another song made its way to the web. The piano-driven ballad “Almost is Never Enough” features Nathan Sykes and showcases Grande’s voice free of radio-friendly production of her previous releases.
Of course, “Almost is Never Enough” sounds strikingly similar to the work of She Who Shall Not be Named, so I won’t even bother to mention the various parallels that could easily be drawn by any person who remembers the Music Box era of 1993. Instead, I’ll just leave the following song, “Never Forget You”, which was co-produced by Babyface (he’s also working with Grande), on your screen and mind my business over yonder:
