Chris Brown really needs a hit to help get his X album off the ground and with the help of Nicki Minaj, he may have finally found one. Produced by The Fr3shmen, “Love More” will appear on Brown’s delayed X album, which will reportedly be released on August 26.
We first heard “Love More” when Brown and Minaj debut the tune live during a medley at the 2013 BET Awards. Since that time, buzz surrounding the X project has subsided and Brown’s other releases, “Fine China” and “Don’t Think They Know (Ft. Aaliyah)”, quietly slid down the charts.
“Love More”, on the other hand, may be what Brown needs to reignite interest in his new music. Although not being as strong as the Michael Jackson ripoff yet still impressive “Fine China”, the record fits perfectly with the current trends on Urban radio. Well, until Minaj’s silly verse kicks in.
Still, with a possible prison sentence in his near future, Brown may not have the time to promote “Love More” and it will likely go unnoticed. Is this the end for Brown or does his new song have what it takes to sell itself? Listen to “Love More” below:
