R. Kelly’s “My Story (Ft. 2 Chainz” single cover

Just hours after announcing the release date of his new single, “My Story”, R. Kelly has shared a snippet of the song and it has left some of his fans at a loss for words. Featuring 2 Chainz, the tune is a poor representation of both Kelly’s voice and lauded songwriting skills, which have been ridiculously dumbed down.

“I do big things; write big checks, good weed, great sex. Black Panties is on deck,” boasts Kelly through a shroud of auto-tune on the short “My Story” preview. Yes folks, this is what the King of R&B thinks is music reflective of his status in the 2013 music scene.
