Weeks after the world stopped caring about Kelly Rowland’s “Dirty Laundry” and its parent album, Talk a Good Game, Kelly Rowland has finally released the song’s accompanying video. Detailing the drama of her abusive relationship and her undying love for Beyonce, the new clip has arrived far too late.
Despite plugging the song in several interviews, Rowland was unable to force “Dirty Laundry” into the Billboard Hot 100. That was quite unsurprising, though, because she never performed it live on television and immediately following the release of Talk a Good Game on June 18th, the singer fell off the radar as she focused on her job as a judge on The X Factor (US).
Now, let’s watch the Sarah McColgan-directed “Dirty Laundry” video together and issue out verdict:
If this “Dirty Laundry” video premiered during the week of the Talk a Good Game release, it would have had a much bigger impact, both for the song and the album. Yet, this is Rowland we’re discussing and judging by her history of dropping the ball when it mattered most, we shouldn’t be surprised that she has failed yet again. At least she looks good in the video.
