“People can’t get enough of me!”

The main 2013 MTV VMA will be action-packed with live performances by the year’s top acts, so how could the producers possibly match that excitement in the pre-show? By hiring one of the music industry’s brightest rising stars, of course, and Ariana Grande certainly fits the bill.

Grande will perform two songs – “The Way” and “Baby I – from her Yours Truly debut album live at the MTV VMA pre-show, which will air live on August 25 at 8 pm from outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. She will also co-host this week’s episode of MTV’s 10 on Top on August 17 at 12:30pm ET.

Of course, Grande’s MTV appearances are all perfectly timed to promote Yours Truly, which will be released on September 3. Earlier this week, she kicked off The Listening Sessions Tour and sang several of the included tracks to give her fans a clear view of what to expect from the highly anticipated record.

The lineup for the main MTV VMA features Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and many others. While we wait for the action to unfold, watch Grande’s “The Way” performance on The Ellen Degeneres Show below:
