Ciara has been on vacation for weeks since the release of her self-titled album on July 9 but she’s ready to get back in gear with a pair of new singles. During an interview with Hollywood Life, the daft performer revealed the titles of both songs but do you really still care?
The Future-assisted “Where You Go” will serve as the latest Ciara single in the US whereas “Overdose” will be issued in international territories. However, despite both songs being solid choices to promote the album, all buzz surrounding the project has completely subsided.
To date, Ciara has sold a less than impressive 98,000 copies in the US, after opening with 59,000 in its first week. The lead single, “Body Party” peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 but its followup, “I’m Out (Ft. Nicki Minaj)”, stalled at #44 (where it debuted) and quickly tumbled down the chart.
Ciara hasn’t made any major promotional appearances to support her self-titled album since the week of its release and has yet to venture outside the US to plug the material. Hence, most of her fans have already moved on and the wider general public is still unaware that she released music this year.
Yet, I want to know: Do you still care or is it a wrap for Ciara and this album? Watch her talk to Hollywood Life and share your opinions below:
