J. Cole and Jennifer Hudson

The 2013 Do Something! Awards was hosted at the Avalon in Hollywood since July 30 but footage from the event has only just been released. Among the performers at the event were J. Cole and Jennifer Hudson, both of whom teamed for a rendition of the former’s latest single, “Crooked Smile”.

Appearing on Cole’s Born Sinner album, recorded version of “Crooked Smile” features TLC but the rapper was eager to share the stage with Hudson, specifically because he sampled her “No One Gonna Love You” song for the track.
