Move over Lady Gaga because it has just been announced that Kanye West will be performing his controversial single, “Black Skinhead” at the 2013 MTV VMA. West’s upcoming appearance will mark his seventh performance on the iconic stage and will tie him in the history books with the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna.
“Black Skinhead”, which is the the latest single off West’s new album, Yeezus, caused quite a stir when a black-and-white CGI video was released full of of growling dogs, KKK members in black hoods and Illuminati references. I can only imagine what the performance will be but I sense you should say a prayer before tuning in.
No word yet on who else will perform but expect today’s top stars to receive recognition for their music videos. Justin Timberlake leads the MTV VMA nominations list with six nods but Bruno Mars is not far behind him with four while Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Pink have three nominations each. The show will take place on Aug. 25.
